You have the ring, you have all of the ideas and all of the feels, now what?! You guessed it — it’s your turn to officially become a bride! We’ve compiled a list of some super helpful tips when anticipating your bridal appointment (whether it’s your first appointment or fifth!)
- Decide on a budget for your dress.
- This includes the dress, alterations, and a veil.
- Search around for bridal boutiques that offer gowns within your price range.
- All bridal boutiques carry different designers which means different price ranges. A store’s price range is usually listed on the website, but we recommend calling before scheduling an appointment.
- Consider bringing a small number of guests.
- The number of guests you bring along can sometimes make —or break— the appointment. More guests mean more opinions and if you’re like us, overstimulation is real, y’all!
- Trust your consultant — seriously.
- Start your appointment with open and honest communication with your consultant. This is how we know exactly what your needs are, what you are looking for, and most important—how you’re feeling.
- Don’t feel pressured to make a decision if you’re torn!
- Under pressure? (yes, I totally sang this in the Bowie x Queen tune) Go home, sleep on it, then make a decision with your whole heart!
